How to use Keyword Density Checker
- Paste your article or page text.
- Choose whether to ignore common stop words.
- Read the tables of single words, two-word and three-word phrases.
About this tool
Keyword density is how often a word appears compared with the total number of words. There is no ideal percentage, and stuffing keywords hurts readability, but the table is a quick way to spot accidental repetition or a missing main topic. Phrases are shown only when they appear at least twice.
Stop words such as "the" and "and" are filtered out by default so the list shows meaningful terms.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a good keyword density?
- There is no target. Write naturally for people. Densities above 3 to 4% for one term usually read as repetitive.
- Does Google use keyword density?
- Search engines use far more sophisticated language understanding, so density is only a rough editorial check.
