UTM Builder

Documentation

Welcome to the UTM Builder Documentation. This guide explains what UTM parameters are, how they work, and how to use our tool to create trackable marketing URLs.

What is a UTM Link?

UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameters are tags added to a URL that help analytics platforms track where website traffic comes from.

Example:

https://example.com/product?
utm_source=facebook
&utm_medium=social
&utm_campaign=summer_sale

When someone clicks this link, analytics tools such as Google Analytics can identify the traffic source, marketing channel, and campaign.

Why Use UTM Parameters?

UTM tracking helps marketers:

  • Measure campaign performance
  • Identify traffic sources
  • Compare marketing channels
  • Analyze advertising ROI
  • Track email marketing effectiveness
  • Monitor social media campaigns
