About this tool
Alphabetical sorting uses your browser's locale-aware comparison, so accented letters sort sensibly. Numeric sorting reads the number at the start of each line. Shuffle uses a cryptographically random generator.
Combine with the duplicate remover to clean up keyword or email lists.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is sorting case sensitive?
- By default case is ignored. Turn off "ignore case" to treat capitals separately.
- How are lines like "10" and "9" ordered?
- Use numeric sorting. Alphabetical sorting would place "10" before "9".
