How to use Image Resizer
- Drop your images into the box.
- Enter a width, a height, or a percentage.
- Download the resized files, or all of them as a ZIP.
About this tool
Enter just a width or just a height and the other side follows automatically so the image is not stretched. Enter both with "keep the aspect ratio" switched off to force exact dimensions. Percentage mode scales everything by the same factor, which is handy for batches of different sizes.
Scaling down gives sharp results because the browser uses high-quality resampling. Scaling up cannot add detail that is not in the image, so enlarged pictures look soft.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does resizing change the file size?
- Yes. Fewer pixels usually means a smaller file, especially for JPEG and WEBP.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No, everything runs in your browser.
- What sizes do social networks want?
- Common sizes are 1080 x 1080 for Instagram posts, 1200 x 630 for link previews and 1920 x 1080 for video thumbnails. Check each platform's current guidelines.
